“Clean eggs” are fertilized eggs from flocks that have already been vaccinated. Our customers use them for the production of inactivated vaccines for humans and animals. The very largest proportion is later used to produce flu vaccines. However, clean eggs are also used for inactivated poultry vaccines. This is also provided for in the European Pharmacopoeia (chapter 5.2.13).
